It rains which keeps things green, it's clean and there are bumper stickers on lots of cars that say "Keep Portland Weird." I don't think Portland is in any danger of not being weird any time soon. . .and well, that's just part of its charm.
Here is the most recent self- portrait (meaning we used the timer button on our camera) of our family at a nearby park in Tualatin, Oregon. This was taken in early December, 2011. It was freezing, by the way, but the leaves still looked pretty.
